Lousy Afternoon

I buy you records in a TV-Shop.
We go walking with your silly dog.
Seeing the teacher desperate
and all the children dance around.

I take your foto from a videoclip.
We’re sitting in an ice cream parlour.
Seeing the waitress crawling on the floor
and all the regulars laughing about her.

Maybe your heart is made of stone
and I’m wasting my time.
I look at your face and now I know
it’s a lousy afternoon.

I dreamed I saw daddy in a shopping bag
he was moving to our side.
Silly people stand around
and you try to fool them out.

Maybe your heart is made of stone
and I’m wasting my time.
I look at your face and now I know
it’s a lousy afternoon.

I never met a girl like you before
and I never asked for more.
You are playing cat and mouse
and all this happens in my house.

I think that I am a correct fool
while you are breaking all the rules.
All the stars shine on and on
and the world is spinning on.

Maybe your heart is made of stone
and I’m wasting my time.
I look at your face and now I know
it’s a lousy afternoon.
